5.13: Echoes, Silence, Patience and Grace

Nathan: You know, sometimes I find your goodness
staggering, I didn't get a chance to tell you in the session but,
you're kindness is over whelming, Haley, you saved my life
...if i haven't said it lately, you're also sexy as hell

Nathan: I'm not good with being vulnerable, in fact this
is probably the closest I've come to it, or the second closest.
Olivia :What was the first?
Nathan: When I was a Junior, in High school I took
some stuff to help me with my game, drugs and it was
a stupid thing to do. I ended up collapsing on the
court and my Dad was all about covering it up for the
scouts. Anyway when I left the hospital I went to
see Haley because I needed to know if she could
forgive me, I wanted to see if I still had the chance
to great in her eyes, and when she did, when she
forgave me- that was the moment that everything changed
for me. That was the moment that I fell in love with her.
This girl who could see past all the mistakes I have made.
Now, I guess maybe sometimes I screw up because I want
to feel that again. I suppose that sounds pretty broken

Dan: Well I better go before I start looking pervy.
Jamie: What's pervy?
Dan: Nothing you need to know about, go ahead and play.

Lucas: So Peyton drives a freakin' Comet.
What the hell? I mean, thank God the guy in the
book didn't see a white Bronco. They'd all say
I'm in love with O.J.

Brooke: (to the adoption agency woman) Do you know
what my mother said to me when I told her I wanted to start a
company? She said "your chances are one in a million" and I
said "Maybe I'm that one" and she said "you're not.".
And she was wrong. And whatever she thought she saw in me
was wrong... Because I am one in a million and there is a child
out there who has something so special inside of them but
whose life is miserable because they think that nobody wants
them. And I could be a great mother to that child, no matter
their age or race or sex. I could help them find what makes
them special. And if you can't see that, then you're wrong, just
like my mother. Why don't you go ahead and write that down?

Lily: Where's mama?
Lucas: Hey sleepyhead. She'll be back
soon. How did you sleep?
Lily: I had a dream about daddy
Lucas: Oh yeah?
Lily: Mhmm and you were there. And you
were sad, but daddy said everything is going to be okay.

Peyton: My Mom used to sing to me, I don't think I've ever told
anyone that before, it was like our little secret. But every night
she'd come in and she'd tuck me in and she'd sing something, like
lullabys or Album rock stuff. And after she was gone I remember lying in
bed for the first time and just feeling silence, you know.
Then realising for the rest of my life that it was gone, all her
songs were gone, her voice and the way it used to soothe
me, just all of it. So I guess I tried to find new songs to
fill that quiete, but none of them ever really have.
Now she's gone and Mia's gone... and Luke is gone.
There's just silence...There's just silence.

Brooke: I'm from a no-parent household. My dad cared more
about his golf score than he did for me and my mom went
heavy on scotch and Prada. And because of them
I know exactly the parent I'm not going to be.

Peyton: Make a wish and place it in your heart.
Anything you want, everything you want.

Lucas: Do you have it? Good. Now believe it can come true.
You never know where the next miracle is gonna come from,
the next smile, the next wish come true.

Peyton: But if you believe that it's right around the corner,
and you open your heart and mind to possibility of it,
to the certainty of it.

Brooke: You just might get the thing you're wishing for.

Nathan: The world is full of magic. You just have to
believe in it. So make your wish. Do you have it?

Haley: Good. Now believe in it, with all your heart...

Andy: Well, ya know, in some countries, you can buy coffee without actually having to have sex with the cafe owner. Those countries aren't nearly as much fun for me, but what are you gonna do?

Brooke: I'm bored and ignored.
Felix: Bored maybe but you've never been ignored by a guy in your life.

Lucas: Anna? I dare you to call me.

Mouth: What do we win?

Felix: Dude! What the hell are you doing?!
Tim: It says it right here on the dare card.
Felix: Man, that's a typo. It's supposed to say, "Take a shot in the second hole."

Tim: Dude, check out Part 2. Get it? Dude, the hole's #2.
Nathan: There is something wrong with you, you know that, right?
Tim: What? I didn't write the dare card. Hey, give me the camera and give me some leaves, all right?

Peyton: Bless me Father, for I have sinned. You see lately I've been having impure thoughts about- Actually, I haven't been doing very well lately. This is the first time I've been in a church since my mom died. I think about her everyday. I just- I wonder what she would say to me right now if she could see me and see how I've been living. I wonder if she knows, on most days I fall short of being the person she wanted me to be, or I wonder if she saw me do that line of coke last week. And the thing is, I don't even know why I did it. You know, my life is pretty good... it is, but I was just searching for something to make it great... something to make it matter. So, I don't know, I guess last week when I had the chance to change that, and it was right there in front of me. I guess I was just scared to let that go. But I know it was wrong and I want my mom to know that and um, I want her to know that I am not that person... and I'm not going to be.

Peyton: So we never really talked about the wedding, like how you got there.
Haley: I told you, I got dressed, I threw up at my parents' house, brushed, flossed and went to the beach.
Peyton: Okay, hard image to forget, but I meant more like, um, I don't know, how your heart got there. Marriage is big. I don't know how you trust somebody for your whole life. I can't even date somebody without an escape hatch.
Haley: I don't know if it was so much about trusting Nathan, which I do. It was more about trusting myself.
Peyton: Yeah, my old friend, self-doubt. I don't know, sometimes everything seems really simple, and then...
Haley: ... it's not?
Peyton: Yeah.

Keith: ... option to pause at stop signs?
Jules: Okay, that wasn't my fault. The thing just jumped out at me!
Keith: The stop sign?
Jules: It practically pounced!

Nathan: Good evening, Mr. & Mrs. Tree Hill Resident. We're selling these delicious cookies to raise money for Lady Leprechauns, an organization that empowers us girls to become strong, beautiful, independant women of tomorrow.

TRIVIA FROM THIS EPISODE -
1] During the first scene at school, Peyton is wearing an orange shirt and Brooke is wearing a pink shirt with a design. When everyone meets at Karen's Cafe when Felix is explaining the rules for Dare Night, they are dressed differently, where as Haley, Nathan and Lucas have on the same outfit from what they were wearing that same day at school.

2] Haley is holding the cell phone to take a picture of Peyton eating the eggs and her hands move up and down between shots.

Season Finale

This episode was one of my all-time favorites. My favorite scenes were when Bevin, Brooke, Peyton, Haley, Rachel & Shelly we're dancing to the spice girls, Skills singing along with them, & the music scene with Naley&Baby.

Let me just say, I cannot wait for Season 5!
